Garden

Due to the cramped parking lot, there is now no space in the yard for growing not only flowers but also trees. How to solve this dilemma and turn “little” into “much”? What cannot be solved physically can be attempted metaphysically—by using the metaphor of a “Straw Garden.”

Thus, this year at the Yard Gallery, we plan to create a 4.5-meter-wide garden installation from weather-resistant synthetic materials. This installation will replicate the mirror-like structure of the “White House,” composed of numerous triangles.

“These geometric shapes were chosen deliberately. In ancient cultures, triangles symbolized the spirit, while squares represented matter. The harmony of both creates the garden.”

It is likely that the rotating garden will not only energetically cleanse the shared space but also emit vibrations of harmony.

“Being within its field will bring a sense of peace and quiet joy, as if witnessing the perfect image of the Universe.”

The artists Justas and Gintarė Ivanauskai, Aurelija Kurienė, Edvardas Jakunskas and Beatriz Oliveira helped bring the Garden installation idea to life.
