In 2020, during the international project “Wall Art for Communities,” together with neighbor Saule, we implemented the second stage of yard scenography—the Blue House.
In the Blue House scenography, a mosaic of mirrors was deliberately used to reflect the vines growing on the house across the way, filling the courtyard not only with shades of blue but also with the colors of the opposite house.
The color blue symbolizes peace and tranquility—think of the calmness we feel when lying on the ground and gazing at a clear sky. The lighter the blue, the freer we feel. It’s said that blue is the color people like the most. Psychologists suggest that this may be due to the sense of security it provides.
