The portrait of Neighbor Mrs. Kazimiera

In 2018, a full-length painting of a woman with roses was created by the courtyard gates, commemorating the Dapkevičiūtė sisters, who lived in the yard during the post-war period and grew flowers.

On one of the buildings, the story of Sister Kazimiera, who once lived there, is told. She would plant and care for flowers in the courtyard near the fountain, decorating the space and bringing joy to all the residents of the building.

In 2015, during the street art festival “Nykoka,” glass artist and co-author of the Yard Gallery, Ieva Voroneckytė, along with volunteers, helped plant mirrored flowers.

Now, there is no space left to grow flowers, so all that remains is to remember the history and beauty that this woman created on the courtyard walls.
