The Third Room

The secret that envelops Julija’s room is probably left to the viewer themselves—we will each see the inhabitants of this room differently… Julija’s neighbors know that she is a dancer and loves her cat Mažylis very much… The various characters performed in the dance theater are not the real Julija, yet they leave meaningful imprints in both her own and the viewers’ hearts. At times, it may seem difficult to distinguish the shadow from reality, the role from oneself… everything revolves in a circle, life becomes an arena where each of us plays the role assigned to us, where we all constantly move, just like in this room… only the artist’s brush, as if by accident, momentarily halted the moment in which, against the backdrop of the gracefully dancing cat’s shadow, an elegantly alluring girl sits slightly leaning back.

Her gaze is directed toward the wall on which hangs a mirror given by her parents on the occasion of her housewarming. Do mirrors really reflect reality? Or are we ourselves mirrors that constantly reflect light, shadows, hope, dreams…
